October 2026 - Release Notes

· 4 min read

Thank you for using DeployGate.

Here is a summary of updates released in October 2026. This month, we added ways to reach the DeployGate iOS app, such as displaying a Smart App Banner on distribution pages for iOS. We also made several security enhancements, listed Instant Device usage time on the pricing page, and fixed issues with Instant Device. In addition, we released GitHub Action v1.1.5.

Your feedback is invaluable, as it helps us to improve our services. If you have requests, comments, or concerns about our services, please post on X with #deploygate or contact us.

Web Client Changes

Ways to Reach the iOS Client App

  • A Smart App Banner is now displayed when you open a distribution page for iOS in Safari on iOS. You can use it to install the DeployGate iOS app, or, if the app is already installed, join the test directly from the app.
  • We added an App Store section (with a QR code and a store badge) to the client apps page. The App Store and Google Play store badges now support display in Japanese and English.
  • We added a "Client Apps" link to the site footer that points to the client apps page.

Security Enhancements

We strengthened security in several areas so that you can use our services more safely.

Instant Device Usage Time Listed on the Pricing Page

We added an Instant Device row to the comparison table on the pricing page, so you can now check the monthly limit for each plan (30 minutes/month for Free, and 100 minutes/month for Flexible and Enterprise).

Fixed Issues with Instant Device

  • We fixed an issue where, for apps registered with Instant Device while on the Free plan, sessions were still cut off after 60 seconds even after changing to a paid plan. When you change your plan, the session time limit now matches that of the new plan.
  • Distribution pages and app detail pages no longer keep you waiting for a long time when a failure occurs in the source from which Instant Device usage is retrieved. In this case, usage is determined based on data up to the previous day, and you can start a session.

Limit on New User Invitations in Free Plan Workspaces

In workspaces on the Free plan, invitations to people who do not yet have an account are now limited to 10 per day for each inviting user.

Improvements to App Uploads and the API

  • When you upload an IPA with a corrupted provisioning profile, a dedicated error message explaining the cause is now displayed instead of a generic error.
  • We added support for the iPhone Duo (iPhone19,4), so its product name, rather than its model ID, is now displayed when the device is registered.
  • We fixed an issue where opening a distribution page or the app list from an iPhone could result in a server error (500) for some binaries, preventing the page from being displayed.
  • We fixed an issue where accessing GET /api/sessions/user with a non-user token, such as a team or enterprise API token, resulted in a 500 error. The API now returns 401 instead.
  • The plan_change_url returned by the upload API when the app count or storage limit is reached is now an absolute URL, so it can also be opened from the CLI or CI.

Removed the API for dg CLI

We removed the API for dg CLI, which is no longer supported. As a result, add-devices --server in dg CLI can no longer be used.

GitHub Action Changes

Released GitHub Action v1.1.5 (Security Fix)

We released GitHub Action v1.1.5.

  • We updated undici, the HTTP client library bundled with the Action, to 7.30.1 / 6.29.1 to address known security vulnerabilities (such as GHSA-qrxm-fqhp-jwvm and GHSA-xjj6-f33q-929c).
  • To apply this fix, specify @v1.1.5 in your workflow.
