September 2026 - Release Notes
Thank you for using DeployGate.
Here is a summary of updates released in September 2026. This month, we added support for new iOS devices and versions, such as the iPhone 18 Pro series and iOS 27, and fixed an issue where apps could not be installed when the type of the registered device could not be determined. We also improved the revision list in the iOS app and addressed vulnerabilities in the dependency libraries of the GitHub Action.
Your feedback is invaluable, as it helps us to improve our services. If you have requests, comments, or concerns about our services, please post on X with #deploygate or contact us.
Web Client Changes
Support for New iOS Devices and iOS Versions, and Improved Device Model Detection
- We added the device names and version names for the iPhone 18 Pro / iPhone 18 Pro Max and for iOS 26.6.2, 26.7, 26.7.1, 27.0, and 27.0.1.
- New iOS devices that are not yet registered in DeployGate can now be inferred to be an iPhone, iPad, or iPod. This makes the same issue less likely to occur right after a new model is released.
- For registered devices whose OS build number had remained stuck at a beta or similar build number, the displayed OS build number is now updated.
Fixed the Error Display When Submitting an Empty Username During Sign-Up
We fixed an issue where submitting the sign-up form with an empty username, such as when signing up from an invitation email, resulted in a 403 error page. A message asking you to enter a username is now displayed.
Fixed an Error When Uploading a Corrupted App File via the API
We fixed an issue where uploading a corrupted app file (ZIP/APK) via the API resulted in a 500 error. The API now returns a 400 error with the message "Could not resolve the package type."
iOS Client Changes
Improved the Display When the Device Type Cannot Be Determined on the Install Screen
We fixed an issue on the install screen for iOS devices where an internal string such as "deviceFamilyNames.3" was displayed as-is when the type of the registered device could not be determined. The following message is now displayed instead: "The app cannot be installed because the type of your registered device could not be determined. Please try again later or contact the developer." In addition, when the target devices of an app cannot be determined, the target device is now displayed as "Unknown device."
All Revisions Are Now Viewable in the Revision List
We fixed an issue where the revision list in the iOS app showed only the 10 most recent revisions. When you scroll to the end of the list, more revisions are loaded automatically, so you can view and install all revisions. If loading more revisions fails, you can retry from the end of the list. (Addressed in iOS app v1.0.1)
Released iOS App v1.0.3
We released iOS app v1.0.3.
- Includes internal improvements such as updates to error monitoring
GitHub Action Changes
Addressed Vulnerabilities in Dependency Libraries
In v1.1.4, we updated the dependency library (undici) used when running the Action to a version in which the vulnerabilities have been fixed. This resolves known vulnerabilities (1 High and 2 Moderate). To apply this fix, update the version specified in your workflow to DeployGate/deploygate-upload-github-action@v1.1.4.
